McLean Hospital, which is affiliated with Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass., has the world’s largest collection of autism brain samples, according to the report. A freezer in the brain bank was found to have shut down in late May without triggering two alarms. An external thermostat measuring the temperature of the freezer was also inaccurate, reading -79 degrees when the temperature was actually seven degrees.
