The system, called ViSi Mobile System, consists of wearable devices that report continuous measurements of patient vital signs and allow patients freedom of movement.
The device is worn on a patient’s wrist and continuously updates clinicians on the patient’s vital signs, either on-site or remotely. The continuous data can help clinicians identify early signs of patient deterioration and could help prevent adverse events.
“Erlanger is committed to patient safety, and the ViSi wireless system supports our commitment to improving safety for our patients,” said Phillip Jackson, CEO of Erlanger East and vice president of Erlanger Health. “The devices allow us to continuously monitor vital signs without disturbing the patient — and a patient’s peace of mind can enhance the overall healing experience.”
