ECRI Institute Launches Online Course on Healthcare Construction Safety

The ECRI Institute has developed an online version of its Infection Control Risk Assessment for Healthcare Construction Activities training, which teaches use of infection control risk assessments and management techniques for hospital setting construction.

The three-part course covers protocol for meeting Joint Commission, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and American Institute of Architects’ healthcare construction requirements. It is designed to give construction workers the tools needed to make decisions in a healthcare construction environment.

“The ICRA course provides a comprehensive review of everyday construction issues specific to healthcare that all healthcare construction professionals will find extremely valuable and will help participants gain a one-up on their peers,” said Luke Petosa, director of the Center for Education and Training at the ECRI Institute, in a news release.
