Here are four things to know about the roundtable.
1. The event will cover how hospitals and nursing homes can ensure safety in their facilities.
2. Presenters include Jacqueline Reuben, an infectious disease epidemiologist from the D.C. Hospital Association; Patricia Stone, PhD, from New York City-based Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health; Lawrence Muscarella, PhD, a patient safety expert; and other public health officials.
3. The committee will also present its 2nd Annual Ignaz Semmelweis Award at the event.
4. The roundtable will be held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Harvard Club of New York City, located at 35 W. 44th Street.
