CDC video emphasizes important of early sepsis detection

The CDC has posted a new video featuring director Tom Frieden, MD, to help kick off Sepsis Awareness Month. Throughout September, the CDC will be releasing and promoting educational resources for both patients and clinicians, including fact sheets, infographics and a blog series.

“When doctors and nurses identify sepsis early, patients have a much better chance of survival,” Dr. Frieden said in the video.
