ACS Hosts Surgical Quality Forum Ohio

The American College of Surgeons hosted the ASC Surgical Health Care Quality Forum Ohio, the 17th such forum across the nation to encourage surgeon-led efforts to create value and improve quality in healthcare, according to a report from Insurance News Net.

The event was held at Ohio State University in Columbus, where speakers discussed their own efforts to improve quality and decrease cost in their own practices using various models of healthcare improvement, including the ACS’ National Surgical Quality Improvement Program.

The forum was another in the series of forums launched in 2011 as part of the ACS’s “Inspiring Quality” initiative, according to the report.
