Geneia has created a series of courses to engage hospitals, health systems and physicians and help them transition to a value-based, population health management environment. Courses include motivational interviewing, patient engagement for effective disease management and the changing role of the medical assistant in the delivery of team-based care.

The courses will be delivered through self-paced e-learning modules, and range from 10 minutes to several hours.

“Our hospitals are in the midst of a shift to value-based care and simultaneously improving care, enhancing the health of their patients, returning joy to the profession and lowering costs,” said IHA’s chief health officer, Jay Bhatt. “Our leaders, physicians, nurses and other staff need new tools and skills to transform healthcare delivery.”
