10 most, least stressed states

Residents of Louisiana have the highest stress of any state, according to an analysis by WalletHub.

To determine the states' stress levels, WalletHub analysts compared the 50 states and Washington, D.C. across four dimensions: work-related stress, money-related stress, family-related stress and health- and safety-related stress. Analysts evaluated those four dimensions using 38 metrics.

Here are the most stressed states based on the analysis.

1. Louisiana

2. New Mexico

3. West Virginia

4. Mississippi

5. Nevada

6. Arkansas

7. Oklahoma

8. Alabama

9. Kentucky

10. Tennessee

Here are the least stressed states.

1. Minnesota

2. North Dakota

3. Utah

4. Iowa

5. South Dakota

6. Wisconsin

7. Colorado

8. Massachusetts

9. Hawaii

10. Nebraska
