Walmart joins CVS, Walgreens in taking Zantac off shelves

Walmart is joining CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid in temporarily halting sales of Zantac and other ranitidine products after the FDA flagged a possible carcinogen in the heartburn drugs.

Walmart will pull drugs like Zantac, Equate and Member’s Mark from its shelves, the company said Oct. 2.

Customers can return Zantac to Walmart or Sam’s Club.
