Walgreens appoints new CIO, expands board of directors

Deerfield, Ill.-based Walgreens Boots Alliance tapped Hsiao Wang as its senior vice president and CIO Sept. 8.

Mr. Wang succeeds Francesco Tinto, who was Walgreens’ CIO for three years, according to a Sept. 8 news release. 

Walgreens also added to its board of directors with the appointment of Inderpal Bhandari, who has been IBM’s global chief data officer since 2015. With these additions, the company formed a finance and technology committee.
