Madison, Wis.-based UW Health has expanded its prescription delivery service, offering free next-day home delivery for patients in Dane County, Wis.
The health system has provided home prescription delivery since 2012, but deliveries previously took several days through carriers such as the U.S. Postal Service and UPS. In late 2025, UW Health partnered with Courier Express and centralized prescription fulfillment and processing at its pharmacy services building in Middleton, according to a June 2 news release.
The change has accelerated delivery times, allowing patients in Dane County to receive prescriptions the day after their order is placed.
UW Health has delivered about 100,000 prescriptions through the next-day service during the past six months, Aaron Webb, PharmD, director of ambulatory care pharmacy services at UW Health, said in the release.
Patients receive text message notifications when prescriptions are out for delivery and confirmation once medications arrive. UW Health also delivers medications throughout Wisconsin and several other states, with most prescriptions arriving within a few days.
