Mr. Peters most recently worked as the CEO of Skyward Health, a strategic advisory firm. Prior to that, he was a senior executive at Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger for 12 years.
The announcement comes as Rite Aid plans a financial turnaround that will prioritize its relationship with health insurers.
