U.S. News & World Report released its pediatric Honor Roll Sept. 15, naming 11 children’s hospitals as the nation’s best. Here are the leaders overseeing pharmacy at each.
Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago: Jenny Elhadary, PharmD, is vice president of clinical services and senior director of pharmacy services.
Boston Children’s Hospital: Joy Vreeland, PharmD is vice president and chief pharmacy & therapeutics officer.
Children’s Hospital Colorado (Aurora): Casey Dugan is vice president of pharmacy services, leading pharmacy across the system’s four hospitals and 12 specialty clinic and urgent care locations.
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles: Phuong Lieu, PharmD, is chief pharmacy director.
Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia: Andrea DiPietro, PharmD, was named associate vice president and the hospital’s first-ever chief pharmacy officer this month, a role created under Amy Gallagher, PharmD, vice president of operations, who has led CHOP’s pharmacy enterprise for more than 25 years.
Children’s National Hospital (Washington, D.C.): Eric Balmir, PharmD, is vice president and chief pharmacy officer.
Cincinnati Children’s: Mark Thomas, RPh, is chief pharmacy officer and medication safety officer.
Nationwide Children’s Hospital (Columbus, Ohio): Matt Sapko, PharmD, is chief pharmacy officer.
