Lupin recalls more than 23,000 bottles of oral antibiotic in US

Drugmaker Lupin Somerset is recalling 23,460 bottles of Nitrofurantoin, an oral antibiotic used for the treatment and prevention of  bladder infections, according to The Economic Times.

The Baltimore-based company is voluntarily recalling the antibiotic for being subpotent,  according to the report.

The drug is manufactured by Novel Laboratories for Lupin.
