FDA approves 1st nonreplicating smallpox, monkeypox vaccine

The FDA has approved Jynneos, a smallpox and monkeypox live and nonreplicating vaccine.

It is the only vaccine approved by the FDA for monkeypox and the first live, non-replicating vaccine to prevent both diseases. 

Jynneos, approved for adults, will be available to those determined to be at high risk of acquiring smallpox or monkeypox.
