The price cut brings the cost down to 2008 levels, the drugmaker said, and will apply to all Eli Lilly’s non-branded insulins.
The list price for insulin lispro will be $82.41 for individual vials and $159.12 for a pack of five pens.
Eli Lilly said people who face higher out-of-pocket costs, such as those without insurance or with high deductible health plans, will benefit the most from the price drop.
