Middletown, Conn.-based Middlesex Health opened the system’s first retail and specialty pharmacy on Sept. 30.
Three notes:
1. The 1,867- square-foot pharmacy is located at Middlesex Hospital, also in Middletown.
2. Alongside regular prescription services, the pharmacy will also offer specialized medication education and clinical support, medication adherence support, co-pay assistance and home delivery services.
3. The system is operating the pharmacy in partnership with specialty pharmacy services company Clearway Health.
