The drugmaker already recalled products sold at Walmart, Walgreens and CVS.
The expanded recall includes the over-the-counter ophthalmic products sold by Accutome, Focus Laboratories, Grandall Distributing Co., Prestige Brands. Natural Ophthalmics and TRP Co.
Altaire is recalling lubricating eyedrops, allergy relief drops and several eye ointments because “administration of a nonsterile product intended to be sterile may result in serious and potentially life-threatening infections or death,” the drugmaker said in a news release.
Altaire said it hasn’t received reports of adverse events related to the recall.
