The drugmaker is recalling lubricating eyedrops, allergy relief drops and several eye ointments under the Equate and Support Harmony brands. Other affected eye products are Walgreens brand.
“Administration of a nonsterile product intended to be sterile may result in serious and potentially life-threatening infections or death,” the drugmaker said in its recall notice.
Altaire said it has not received any reports of adverse events related to the recall.
