Four things to know:
1. The drugmakers invited to testify are Eli Lilly, Gilead, Merck, Pfizer, Mylan and Mallinckrodt.
2. The caucus hopes the invitation will place a spotlight on progressives’ views on drug-pricing.
3. The invitation is far less formal than those extended earlier this year by three other congressional committees that have called on various industry CEOs to testify.
4. The House progressives are an informal caucus, so they lack subpoena power and likely the influence to force pharma executives to attend, according to the report.
