4 recent pharmacy leadership moves

Four pharmacy executive moves Becker's has covered since July 1:

1. CVS Health selected Ahmed Hassan to be president of Omnicare effective July 1. CVS bought Omnicare, a services provider, in 2015 for $12.9 billion.

2. Alto Pharmacy, a San Francisco-based organization, snatched up Alicia Boler Davis as its CEO. Ms. Boler Davis recently worked as Amazon's senior vice president of global customer fulfillment, and she is set to begin her role as CEO Sept. 1.

3. The CEO and CFO of Emerald Health Pharmaceuticals, Jim DeMesa, MD, and Lisa Sanford, resigned July 11 after the Securities and Exchange Commission handed them a notice of fraud allegations. The chair of Emerald's board, Jim Heppell, said in a press release the resignations were related to the notice and "the alleged federal securities law violations do not relate to the company's technology or intellectual property."
