The agreement comes after reports surfaced last week the medical center was not in-network with any insurer selling individual coverage on Tennessee’s 2018 exchange.

Individuals enrolling in Bloomfield, Conn.-based Cigna’s on-exchange plan during the upcoming open enrollment period will gain in-network access to VUMC Jan. 1.
