UnitedHealthcare boasts 15% savings on new Arizona health plan

UnitedHealthcare announced a new Arizona health plan, Doctors Plan of Arizona, which it claims can save members up to 15 percent on premiums compared to traditional PPOs.

The new plan, offered in Maricopa and Pinal counties, provides those with employer-sponsored plans with access to Banner Health Network, an accountable care organization that expands the state's largest provider with primary care and specialist physicians, according to the Dec. 1 announcement

Members have access to 5,000 physicians and 15 medical centers through the network.

The plan also includes a "concierge support model" for customer support to provide personalized assistance to members that cuts down on transfers and delays, according to the announcement.
