Point32Health is the name of a new health insurance organization formed by the merger of Tufts Health Plan and Harvard Pilgrim Health Care.
The name was inspired by the 32 points on a compass. It represents "the role the organization plays in guiding and empowering its members and making a meaningful impact across the health care industry," according to a June 16 news release.
While Point32Health is the name of the merger's parent organization, Tufts and Harvard Pilgrim branding will be used in the marketplace for the foreseeable future, according to the release.
