Phoenix Health drops Medicare Advantage plans

Payer Phoenix Health Plan, contracted with Arizona's Medicaid agency, will cease its Medicare replacement plans in Arizona's Yavapai County, reports The Daily Courier.

Phoenix Health's Medicare Avantage plans are an alternative to traditional Medicare. The insurer was one of three offering the replacement plans in Yavapai County.

The Medicare open enrollment Dec. 7 deadline was delayed to Dec. 31 because of Phoenix Health's pullback.
