Kaiser, Piedmont contract for in-network services through 2021

Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta will offer Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente health plan members in-network access to all facilities under a new contract.

The agreement, set to run through 2021, adds Piedmont Athens (Ga.) Regional Medical Center and Piedmont Rockdale Hospital in Conyers, Ga. to Kaiser’s network.

The contract also provides Kaiser’s ACA exchange policyholders in-network access to all Piedmont hospitals and many physicians.

Piedmont and Kaiser negotiated a new contract several months before the agreement’s termination date.
