Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia appoints president

Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Georgia, a subsidiary of Oakland, Calif.-based Kaiser Permanente, named Jim Simpson president.

Here are five things to know about Mr. Simpson.

1. Mr. Simpson most recently served as interim president for the health plan’s Georgia region.

2. He has 20 years of experience in finance, operations, accounting, regulatory and information technology.

3. Prior to serving as interim president, Mr. Simpson was senior vice president of finance for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals.

4. Throughout his tenure with the organization, he has also served as vice president and controller for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Northern California.

5. Mr. Simpson will report to Gregory Adams, executive vice president and group president of Kaiser Foundation Health Plan, Inc. and Hospitals.
