The addition of three new neighborhood centers in Charlotte, Raleigh and Winston-Salem brings the total number of centers to five. The centers aim to improve community physical and mental health through programming, events and activities mostly offered to the broad community, regardless of Humana membership.
In the announcement, the company cited regional growth, especially within its North Carolina State Health Plan, as the motivator behind the move.
The new contact center in Charlotte has already hired 70 employees, currently working from home, to field calls from North Carolina State Health Plan Medicare Advantage members.
The recent development in the Charlotte region follows its 2019 identification as a “Bold Goal” community by Humana.
