Highmark pledges to increase healthcare diversity, equity with new partnership

Highmark Health is partnering with talent acquisition organization Inroads to push for greater diversity and equity in healthcare, Inroads said Sept. 15.

The partnership will look to close a racial talent gap by using Inroads' talent pools to fill positions, according to a news release. 

Initiatives will include greater diversity among candidates, sourcing recent graduates for rotational programs and bringing greater diversity to paid internship programs. General recruiting efforts will be expanded to especially include historically Black colleges and universities and Hispanic serving institutions.

"We are seeking to bridge gaps in health equity in order to provide our members and patients with the best products, services and experiences.
