Healthgrades has launched an LGBTQ+ Affirming Care Designation.
Providers can apply to display the designation on their profiles through a self-reported, voluntary verification process. This designation will help LGBTQ+ patients connect with providers who are committed to providing compassionate and respectful care to this community, according to a June 3 company news release.
“This designation represents our ongoing commitment to providing clear, trustworthy insights into the quality of care patients receive, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity for the best possible experience and outcomes,” Ashley Pruner, executive vice president at Healthgrades, said in the release. “We are proud to build a culture of belonging in the healthcare space — one that actively addresses disparities and empowers all individuals to make well-informed decisions about their health.”
In addition to the designation, Healthgrades launched the Providers’ Pronoun initiative to allow providers to display their chosen pronouns on their Healthgrades profile.
