HealthCare.gov to honor Do Not Track requests

CMS said it will not put advertising-related trackers on the computers of HealthCare.gov users who have selected the Do Not Track option, according to The Hill.

In addition, it won't load third-party tools for the users so they don't have to worry about outside software tracking their usage.

"Over the last several months, we've been working hard to make the consumer experience even better this year — learning about what information you need to make decisions and how to improve the help and support we provide throughout the enrollment process," Kevin Counihan, CEO of HealthCare.gov, said in a blog post. "An important part of that is continuing to protect your privacy when you're shopping for health coverage."

Mr. Counihan added that users who select the Do Not Track option will still have access to all of HealthCare.gov's information.
