1. California fines top insurers $600k for overstating physician networks
The California Department of Managed Health Care levied fines of $350,000 against Blue Shield of California and $250,000 against Anthem Blue Cross over inaccurate provider directories that overstated their physician networks during the rollout of Affordable Care Act coverage in 2014.

2. Health Net reports 9.6% growth in total revenues for Q3
Woodland Hills, Calif.-based Health Net reported a 2015 third quarter net income of $60.3 million, or $0.77 per diluted share.

3. BCBS of NC ends contract with Carteret Health Care

Based on its third-quarter results, Aetna raised its projections for 2015 operating earnings to a range of $7.45 to $7.55 per share from $7.40 per share, according to Aetna Chairman and CEO Mark Bertolini.
