Here are four things to know about the contract termination.

1. Due to the contract termination, the insurer’s customers will lose in-network access at Community Healthcare System facilities. Those facilities include Community Hospital in Munster, St. Catherine Hospital in East Chicago, Ind., and St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart, Ind.

2. Community Healthcare System CEO John Gorski did not disclose details as to why the contract was terminated, except to say that the two entities “remain very far apart on what would constitute a fair and sustainable compromise,” according to the report.

3. Community Healthcare System is giving patients until Feb. 29 before they have to pay out-of-network costs.

4. In the meantime, Mr. Gorski said Community Healthcare Systems will continue to try to reach a new contract with Anthem.
