Under the long-term agreement, patients with Cigna insurance can access Houston Methodist hospitals for in-network prices. The agreement also includes a value-based program that aims to improve care for Cigna members while lowering costs.

Separately, Cigna will administer Houston Methodist’s employee health plan through its third-party administrator, Allegiance.
