BIOCLAIM's fraud detection earns final spot in the Fierce Innovation Awards: Payer Edition

BIOCLAIM is receiving finalist recognition in two different categories in this year's Fierce Innovation Awards.

BIOCLAIM will compete for first place in the "Privacy and Cybersecurity" category in the Healthcare Edition, and the "Fraud and Abuse Detection/Prevention" category in the Payer Edition.

CIOs from prestigious U.S. hospitals and healthcare systems evaluated competition applicants based on care efficiency, competitive advantage, financial impact, market need, patient experience, quality of care and outcomes, and overall innovation.

BIOCLAIM's software solution uses biometric technology, such as fingerprint scanners, to eliminate healthcare fraud and protect patients and providers from medical identity theft. According to the company, their application can communicate the biometric record created at the point of service to the payer to eliminate phantom billing fraud.

"We are grateful to the distinguished panel who recognized the need for BIOCLAIM to protect and safeguard health care data," said Scott Kimmel, General Counsel for BIOCLAIM.

The Fierce Innovation Award winners will be announced via webcast on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 2:00 pm ET.
