BCBS of Vermont recognized for collaborating with mental health services

The Center for Counseling and Psychological Services of the Washington County Mental Health Services recognized Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Vermont for its collaboration with and support of the center's mental health services, the insurer said in a statement to VTDigger.

BCBS of Vermont was chosen by CCPS for its support of the Linking Community Services Program. The program is a pilot effort, with CCPS providing safe and cost-effective treatment for people with disabilities from serve psychological trauma.   

Joshua Plavin, MD, vice president and CMO of BCBSVT, said, "We fully support the innovative programs at WCMHS and are proud to call them partners. Through these types of innovations to improve care, as well as new value-based payment models, we are starting to see better patient outcomes as we focus on maintaining wellness for all of our members."
