The glitch came as the insurer transitions to a new software system. Settings didn’t recognize new members and trigger the required welcome kit mailing, which includes a benefits booklet.
BCBS of North Dakota reported the missed mailing to North Dakota insurance regulators in September 2019. Insurance officials told the Grand Forks Herald the issue has been resolved and no other customer complaints have surfaced.
