Anthem latest insurer to ink agreement with Tenet

Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare and Anthem Blue Cross signed a new multiyear agreement, the organizations said Jan. 16.

Under the agreement, Anthem Blue Cross members will maintain in-network access to Tenet’s facilities and providers in California.

Anthem is the latest insurer to sign an agreement with Tenet. On Jan. 15, Tenet signed a contract that gives Humana members access to the system’s hospitals, outpatient centers and employed physicians at in-network rates through May 2023. Additionally, on Jan. 1, Tenet entered into a new multiyear contract with health insurance company Cigna after 11 months of negotiations.
