Anthem joins Colorado's Medicaid alliance

Anthem entered the Colorado Community Health Alliance, a care model integrating behavioral and physical healthcare for Medicaid beneficiaries.

Under the agreement, Anthem will join Centennial, Colo.-based Centura Health, Primary Physician Partners and Physician Health Partners in Denver to innovate the state's Medicaid delivery system.

Ken Nielsen, a representative on CCHA's board of directors, said, "By breaking down the typically siloed nature of healthcare, we aim to make the best use of limited resources to ensure members are receiving the right care, at the right time and in the right setting to eliminate duplication and over-utilization."
