Anthem in Maine gets new president: 3 things to know

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine appointed Denise McDonough president of commercial business in the state Jan. 10, according to Mainebiz.

Three things to know:

1. Ms. McDonough has more than 20 years of experience in the health insurance industry.

2. In 2010, she joined Anthem as director of sales in New Hampshire. A year later, she was promoted to her current role as regional vice president of sales for Anthem’s commercial plan in New Hampshire. She has been in that role for the past seven years.

3. Before joining Anthem, Ms. McDonough spent 13 years at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in sales management.
