Anthem, Dignity partner for new tiered health plan

San Francisco-based Dignity Health and Anthem Blue Cross have partnered on a tiered Exclusive Provider Organization/Preferred Provider Organization health plan, which is set to launch in California May 1.

The EPO/PPO plan, which is designed for self-insured large groups or employers with more than 101 employees, will give members a variety of choices. Its primary goals include improving overall employee health and decreasing costs.

Although it will initially launch in Ventura County, Anthem and Dignity hope to expand its reach across California over the next year and a half.
