19 payer exec moves in September

The following payer executives changed their positions in September.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Anthem Blue Cross named Beth Andersen president of its commercial business plan in California.

2. Fallon Health appointed Todd Bailey senior vice president and CFO.

3. Fallon Health named Kristine Bostek vice president of its Summit ElderCare program.

4. AmeriHealth Caritas appointed Heidi Chan as market president of its North Carolina health plan.

5. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina CEO Patrick Conway, MD, resigned.

6. Independence Blue Cross promoted Kortney Cruz to vice president of sales and marketing-Medicare.

7. Keith Dolan was named vice president and regional executive of BlueShield of Northeastern New York, a subsidiary of HealthNow New York.

8. HealthPartners named Kim Egan vice president of national health solutions.

9. John Fong, MD, joined Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas as the insurer's vice president of medical affairs and CMO.

10. Medicaid Health Plans of America named Craig Kennedy CEO.

11. Blue Shield of California named Michael Mathias to a new role supporting growth initiatives reporting to the CEO.

12. MetroPlus Health Plan named Amanda Parsons, MD, deputy CMO.

13. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Alabama named Michael Patterson chief administrative officer and chief legal officer.

14. Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana promoted Clinton Prescott to vice president of treasury and financial planning.

15. BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee named Dalya Qualls director of corporate communications.

16. Melissa Stevens was appointed as vice president of community engagement and growth at Community Health Plan of Washington.

17. Health Net appointed J. Brian Ternan as president and CEO for Health Net of California and California Health & Wellness.

18. Centene Corp. appointed David Thomas as executive vice president of markets.

19. Blue Shield of California named Todd Walthall COO.
