Hospital officials cited low demand for delivery services at the Gaffney facility as the reason for shutting down the services.
The hospital will still offer gynecology services and diagnostic imaging.
“This was not a decision we made lightly,” hospital officials said, according to Fox Carolina. “However, we believe it is the right decision as we seek to make Mary Black Gaffney a sustainable organization for the future.”
