Maine hospital goes on lockdown after two gunshot victims entered ER

Millinocket (Maine) Regional Hospital was placed on lockdown Tuesday night around 8 p.m. after the hospital received two gunshot victims, according to WCSH.

The lockdown was lifted at 6:30 a.m. Wednesday morning and the two shooting victims were transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor.

The lockdown was imposed to control the flow of people entering and leaving the building and it did not affect hospital operations.

Local police are still investigating the shooting incident.
