Holdrege, Neb.-based Phelps Memorial Health Center launched a daytime hospitalist program, Central Nebraska Today reported Aug. 26.
In the program, Brooke Cast, PA-C, and Michaela Parrish, PA-C, will provide dedicated inpatient coverage services including evaluating and treating hospitalized patients, communicating with families, coordinating care with surgeons and specialists, nursing staff, and primary care providers.
The program will strengthen inpatient care coordination and communication among providers, as well as support seamless transitions from hospital to home.
