Expectant mothers will be directed to St. Luke’s Allentown Campus for childbirth services.
The decision to cease childbirth services is a result of Allentown-based Sacred Heart HealthCare System, the hospital’s parent company, recently merging with Bethlehem, Pa.-based St. Luke’s University Health Network.
Sacred Heart will continue to offer gynecology services, prenatal visits, maternal fetal medicine and postnatal checkup visits at Sacred Heart OB/GYN Services, located in its family medicine center in Allentown.
