Doximity hits 1M member milestone in 2017: 3 things to know

Doximity, an online social networking service for U.S. clinicians, surpassed one million members in 2017, the company announced Feb. 21.

Here are three things to know about the milestone.

1. Doximity offers clinicians HIPAA-compliant workflow tools to connect with patients, such as secure calling and on-call scheduling.

2. The company added 240,000 members in 2017, a 32 percent increase in membership from the year prior. .

3. Doximity’s membership represents more than 70 percent of U.S. physicians, 45 percent of U.S. physician assistants and nurse practitioners, and 90 percent of U.S. fourth-year medical students.
