St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center (Boise, Idaho). St. Luke’s Regional Medical Center is constructing a new 230,000-square-foot orthopedic hospital, which is set to open in spring 2018. The orthopedic hospital will feature 12 operating rooms and 30 short recovery beds while generating 20,000 visits and 7,000 surgeries per year. In 2016, St. Luke’s surgeons performed more than 1,700 joint replacement surgeries, making the hospital a high-volume destination for orthopedic care. In May, the hospital opened the St. Luke’s Orthopedic Urgent Care Clinic, staffed by eight orthopedic specialists, to serve patients with acute sports injuries.
