Advocate Sherman Hospital (Elgin, Ill.).Advocate Sherman Hospital’s orthopedic team is composed of 32 board-certified surgeons along with several orthopedic certified nurses and physical and occupational therapists. In 1976, the hospital created the Pain Treatment Center to provide patients a chronic pain management service through various treatments, including steroid injections and nerve blocks. Advocate Health Care also offers several rehabilitation options post-surgery, including access to physical therapy at Advocate Sherman. Blue Cross Blue Shield Association designated the hospital a Blue Distinction Center for knee and hip replacement.
