Oncology experts at the Cedars-Sinai Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute will help develop recommendations on clinical content for the WellPoint solution and help evaluate and test specific tools WellPoint will create using the Watson technology. The technology will be used to provide physicians with evidence-based treatment options and help physicians evaluate this information when making patient care decisions.
WellPoint expects to begin clinical pilots using the technology next year.
